Editor's note

An amendment of Nov. 5, 1968 amended § 6 by changing the reference from 3 to 5 commissioners in the first sentence, by deleting the words "mayor and board of aldermen" for the first sentence and substituting in lieu thereof the words "mayor and. commissioners", and by deleting the requirement that said commissioner supervise and control such of the departments as may be assigned to him, subject to the ratification and revocation of the joint body.
